Or, make your own...

Established in 2015, RobinLK Studios happened by accident. Founder Robin Le Roy-Kyle, a Navy Veteran dealing with chronic pain and unexplained "stuff," used writing to cope with anxiety and depression for years.

But when her youngest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer late 2014, Robin reached a new level of anxiety she didn't know how to handle. Her writing voice became radio silent.

A writer and writing instructor for 20+ years, Robin faced for the first time what her students and workshop participants often face... looking for words but coming up empty.

Blank spaces overwhelmed her. Nagging, screaming voices rattled her. Afraid and angry, she began searching for coping tools.

Enter mixed-media art. Robin learned how making marks, tearing paper, painting, doodling, stitching, and stapling can heal. She learned that art CAN be approachable. And... she learned that creative time is very much like therapy, but much more fun (!).

Color and creativity became the bridge between struggling and thriving. Words slowly returned.

Found Words: A Simple (Effective!) Way to Write

Imagine giving your inner thoughts a voice. (It may be things we don't want others to hear/see. That's okay!)

Imagine exploring what's happening in your head and discovering things you didn't know were bubbling below the surface. (Or, maybe you did but wanted to keep them quiet.)

I hear you. Me, too. But it's not healthy for either of us! Here's the thing— no one EVER has to see your words. I'll show you how to hide your words in plain sight. Or, get rid of them as soon as they're out of your head.

Using "Found Words" is one of the many mixed-media writing strategies I teach to help you find your voice and tell your story.
